Faculty

The Applied Mathematics Program at the University of Arizona was founded in 1976 with the specific aim of encouraging interdisciplinary doctoral training and faculty research in the mathematical sciences. Over the past thirty years the Program has produced over 150 PhDs many of whom have gone on to distinguished careers and leadership positions in the applied mathematics community.

The Program faculty are currently drawn from 20 different departments and 5 colleges at the University of Arizona. Faculty participate in the Program as Members or Affiliate Members as described in the Program's bylaws. The Program is governed by a Steering Committee consisting of eight faculty and the Head of the Program.
