Quantitative Biology
The goal of the Biology, Mathematics and Physics Initiative is to train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in research areas at the interface of the biomedical, mathematical and physical sciences. Students, enrolled in graduate programs in either the mathematical and physical sciences or the biological sciences, participate in collaborative activities that cross the traditional boundaries between these disciplines. The Biology, Mathematics and Physics Initiative was developed with funding from the National Science Foundation's Integrative Graduate Education and Research Training (IGERT) program, and is now supported by a grant from the University's BIO5 Institute for Collaborative Bioresearch as part of its cross-cutting Quantitative Biology Consortium.
