Serina Diniega
is a recipient of the Harriett G. Jenkins Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program (JPFP), a NASA higher education program administered by the United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation (UNCFSP).
Serina was awarded the 1st place prize for her entry in the recent SIAM Math Matters: Apply It contest. Her submission was on the understanding of sand and dune motion as a demonstration of the importance of math in everyday life. Her entry will be published soon as a part of the Math Matters: Apply It series
