Recent Developments of Interactive Machine Learning using Bandit Algorithms
Abstract: Interactive machine learning methods have received a lot of attention in the past decade due to their wide adoption in industry including online new recommendations, product recommendations, and online advertisements. In this talk, I will provide a brief tutorial on multi-armed bandit formulations of interactive machine learning problems. I will particularly focus on theoretical aspects and how they are relevant in practice, and then discuss recent breakthroughs and open problems.
