Artificial Intelligence approaches for physical and cyber resilience of the 16 DHS CISA designated Critical Infrastructure Sectors in US economy

Post 9/11 the Department of Homeland Security was designated to lead physical and cyber security efforts for 16 “Critical Infrastructure Sectors” vital to the US economy, including defense industrial base, critical manufacturing, energy and water utilities, telecommunications/IT, transportation, health care, oil/gas/chemical facilities etc.  The colloquium will focus on designated “global trends” and “grand challenges” in the above CI sectors and how 16 flavors of Artificial Intelligence are currently being explored by key government and private sector operators of critical infrastructure. We will also explore how increased use of AI is impacting NIST SP-800 Industrial Control Systems Cyber Security resilience postures, with deep dive into use cases in the Electrical Utilities, Oil/Gas/Chemical and Transportation sectors.
