Abstract: Multiscale modeling of electronic processes in organic systems
This lecture deals with charge transport, charge separation and charge recombination processes in organic semiconductors. I will first discuss the state-of-the-art methodologies used in the derivation of the microscopic parameters describing the dynamics of various electronic processes in single component and binary organic systems. Then, I will illustrate how the effects of electronic and electron-phonon interactions, static disorder and charge carrier concentration on charge transport, charge separation and charge recombination processes can be investigated by means of kinetic Monte Carlo simulations.
