Title: Methods and Sources for Obtaining Funding and Internships (featuring a Graduate Student Panel)
Abstract: Amongst the many stressors befalling the average graduate student is the quest to obtain reliable funding to focus on research during the academic year. Likewise, securing an internship for the summer months can be an overwhelming process. In this week’s seminar, we are going to lay out some common funding/internship opportunities and the associated logistics and strategies. Following an informational presentation, we will have an open discussion with a panel of graduate students who have obtained funding and internships from a breadth of sources/industries.
