For incoming Math, Applied Math, and Statistics and Data Science PhD students at University of Arizona

Date and time: August 10-14, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM daily (see below for more details)

Introduction: The Integration Workshop is an intensive five-day workshop aimed at developing cohort relationships with incoming students, meeting faculty and advanced graduate students, and introducing students to approaching mathematics from a graduate perspective. It is expected that you participate in group work and group activities toward mathematics materials and projects. We ask that you come to this session with intellectual humility, respect, and willingness to learn from and listen to one another.

Access to Workshop materials: The workshop website can be accessed via Brightspace. You will need to login with your UA netid and select the Integration Workshop course.

Organization of the Workshop: The workshop consists of sessions on Analysis and Algebra, as well as a project, visits to campus resources, and some other enrichment activities. Each day there will be time for prework to prepare for the next day’s Analysis and Algebra sessions.
