Abstract: A few tricky problems involving randomness
I will present several problems related to my general research interests. All these problems involve probability theory in one way or another. We'll start with some simple algorithms for random number generation and continue to measures on partitions (of integers and sets) and general statistical mechanics of large particle systems.
