Some recent progress on integrable PDEs

When

Integrable PDEs have a long and storied history, including seminal contributions from University of Arizona faculty. In this talk we discuss some recent progress on the dynamics of integrable PDEs in Sobolev spaces. In particular, we consider optimal well-posedness results for the cubic NLS, modified KdV, and derivative NLS equations, as well as some implications for soliton stability. This is based on joint work with Rowan Killip, Marie Ntekoume, and Monica Visan.
