Title: How should I present this? Methods for impressing an audience with arcane findings
Abstract: You have 20 minutes. Or 5. Or, perhaps, an hour. You’re terrified of speaking and now have ghosts of derivations haunting you as you prepare. Eldritch symbols swim across your mind, propagating exponentially. How can you effectively communicate ideas and results from that two-year project? What background should you include? What can you assume people already know? Do you really have to tailor your presentation to different audiences? And where’s the number for that exorcist?
Join as we discuss and workshop some examples of mathematics presentation materials that are within a ball of small radius of the target, and some that are destined for the graveyard.
