Title:            Microscopic and macroscopic models for multi-agent systems

Abstract:     Multi-agent systems can be studied at different scales, including microscopic and macroscopic. We illustrate the situation by taking vehicular traffic modeling as our case study. After briefly discussing classical microscopic approaches, we describe the theory of conservation laws on topological graphs and mean-field kinetic limits for controlled systems.
